Workshop Proceedings

Minerva Canada occasionally sponsors workshops and conferences with the academic community and industry and government representatives to share learnings and successes as well as to better understand the needs of each of these groups in regards to Safety, Health and Environmental management education and the issues limiting this type of education in Canadian post-secondary schools.

Conferences and workshops held or in which Minerva participated included:

  • January 2015 Engineers Without Borders Conference and the May 2015 Chemistry Industry Association of Canada Conference
  • CEEA Conferences
    • Minerva showcased four of its Health and Safety Engineering Student Teaching modules  at the 2014 Canadian Engineering Educators Association (CEEA) conference, which included
      • Risk Management, Dr.Graeme Norval, University of Toronto
      • Electrical Safety, Dr. Anis Haque, University of Calgary
      • Ethics and Public Safety , Dr. Doug Ruth, University of Manitoba
      • Process Safety Management, Dr. Ralph Buchal, Western University
    • Minerva also ran workshops at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 CEEA conferences at Memorial University, University of Manitoba and Ecole Polytechnique.
